Randy Pickard

Randy and I became friends as hockey teammates. He was really a strong player and a forward on the top line of one of the best youth teams in Illinois. I'll never forget a road triip where he introduced me to a new experience (and if you knew Randy at New Trier, you can probably guess what we were imbibing).

Knew Randy very well since 7th Grade and thru High Scool.  He had tons of friends in every walk of life. Super guy and always a very nice person to be around.  See ya on the other side Randy!  Geoff

Very sad to hear we lost Randy, we used to hang out in high school after I was introduced through Larry Fox and the hockey crowd. Had a lot of fun together and he was always just a great guy that you loved being around.  Mr. Pickard, i lay be familiar with some of the extracurriculars of which you speak., Randy rest well, til we meet again,  hopefully up top.

I met Randy through my brother Dave who, I think, was the only sophmore to play varsity hockey. Anyway, Randy was bouncing on our trampoline with Dave, me and Tom Wanberg.  Randy said, "it looks like you guys just bounce as high as you can, throw your head back and hope for the best!" It was a description of our sport I shared with all the gymnasts I coached for decades to follow.
