You were a great friend -- my best for three years. I still miss you and think of you.

Neighbors & friends still remember Jane well & Mrs Grossweiner remained so nice to all of us girls.  If I had understood correctly as a young teen, she had a congenital brain aneurysm which suddenly burst. May your memory be blessed Jane.

Jane was a sweet and fun person. Tragic to lose her so young. If memory serves, she passed in the summer of 1974 - maybe Kathy Webster can confirm that?

Yes, she suffered a stroke or aneurysm in summer 1974. I'll never forget her. She was fun and funny, a bit rebellious but kind to everyone, except sometimes herself.

In the recesses of Glencoe (South School?), Jane seemed a gentle, sweet soul who never entered my orbit through the classroom or the social scene. But in those pre-pubescent years, I wasn't exactly a Big Man on Campus or a High Society swinger! (though I was tall for my age and loved football and baseball). Alas, in high school, I don't recall seeing Jane even once or twice..........just lost in the flotsam and jetsum of high school life and learning.

Jane was one of my best friends.  We had gone down to U of I in late July  to see the campus as both of us were going to attend there.  Days after we returned  I get a call from her sister Karen about Jane being on life support with no hope (I believe it was an aneurysum).  Her family was devastated. As were her friends.  We had such plans!

I had the honor of walking down the graduation line with her.  We were also in Advanced Biology class together.  Funny and always smiling.
