I'm saddened to hear of the passing of Erik. I've known Erik since our time at Howard Jr. High school and had several adventures with him and our gang that will not be mentioned here. :D . We also attended the University of Illinois at the same time where I was able to continue our friendship. I recently received messages from Erk in linked-in where he was asking about contacting our co-conspiritor, Tom Carstens, who I have kept in touch with all these years. A couple years ago Erik sent me videos that he had converted from 8mm movies of some of our escapades including our times at New Trier and at the Homestead Hotel on Hinman in Evanston where we both worked. Erik was a unique (and brilliant) character, to say the least, and I'm glad I we were friends and stayed in touch all these years.
