Marilynn Shipley Huff, 55, died Oct. 10, 2012, at the home of her sister in Mount Prospect, following a brave battle with breast cancer. She was born in Evanston on Dec. 17, 1956, to Curtis and Sue Huff. Marilynn graduated from New Trier East High School in 1974 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She later started her career at Washington National Insurance Company in Evanston and most recently worked at Central States in Rosemont, as well as the Wilmette Park District. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed traveling to workshops each year. Marilynn was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter HW in Evanston. Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Thomas Everett in 1994. She is survived by her children, John Everett and Margaret Louise Brown; brother, James Huff (Yasmin Clinton); sister, Cynthia (Rockne) Bork; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect, Saturday, Nov. 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025 or the Susan B.
