Mary Brandt (Sayre)

Christine Mary Zeck was born to Florence and James Hauronic on September 16, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. After high school, she worked for a dentist locally, as his assistant where she discovered her interest in dentistry. Two years later she attended the University of New Mexico, and later began working as a dental hygienist for several years in Albuquerque. She eventually moved to Taos where she continued as a hygienist, working for several dentists throughout the years. She enjoyed kayaking and river rafting during her early years in Taos. She also liked to snow ski and mountain bike. In the summer, she enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden. Chris was devoted to her son and she was able to see him grow into a fine young man. Through the last years of her life, she struggled with health issues and eventually died at her home in the mountains outside of Taos in August, 2007, at the age of 50. The family would like to thank all the very good people and great friends who offered their help. We are very grateful. May she rest in peace. Christine is survived by her mother, Florence Hauronic, 93, of Palm Springs, CA; her son Jon Zeck, 15, of Las Cruces, NM; her brother, James Hauronic III, 53, and her nephew James E. Hauronic IV, 15, both of Twentynine Palms, CA. A service will be held at Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home on Saturday, October 20, at 11AM. A reception will follow at Ronnie Lee's

Chris was a sweetheart!
